Stephen A. Glickman is an experienced Chicago employment law attorney who has successfully represented employers, executives, and other employees in an array of employment law matters for over 25 years.  He achieves results for his clients by combining talent, skill, knowledge and experience with a personalized approach to the practice of law.

Mr. Glickman has an extensive employment law litigation background in federal and state court.  He has aggressively litigated employment discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, FMLA, wrongful termination, and a wide variety of other employment law claims.  In addition, he has represented clients in administrative proceedings before the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Illinois Department of Human Rights and Human Rights Commission, the Illinois Department of Labor, the Illinois Department of Employment Security, and other federal, state, and city administrative agencies.  Mr. Glickman has also negotiated many favorable out-of-court settlements, employment separation agreements, and severance packages. 

Additionally, Mr. Glickman has advised employers in human resources situations, including hiring and firing decisions, employee discipline, personnel policies, employee handbooks, ADA accommodation requests, FMLA and other leaves of absence, employment selection testing, drug and alcohol testing, at-will employment, employment risk management, and compliance with the ever-changing federal and state employment laws.  He has also counseled executives on employment contracts, executive compensation, severance, and non-competition agreements.

Mr. Glickman was admitted to the Illinois Bar and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in 1987, and the Federal Trial Bar and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in 1989.  He is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Labor and Employment Law Committee of the Chicago Bar Association, the National Employment Lawyers Association, and the National Employment Lawyers Association-Illinois.  He has served as an Arbitrator for the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois since 1995.  

Mr. Glickman received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1983 with a double major in History and Philosophy and a minor in English, and he earned his Juris Doctor degree from the DePaul University College of Law in 1987.
